Details about "DO YOU ACCEPT" responses:

Due to the great number of purebred Siberians in need of our help, and because the great majority of applicants respond that they do not want a mix, we unfortunately cannot accept them as a general rule. Exceptions occur, of course, and if a mix has predominantly Siberian characteristics, we will evaluate on a case-by-case basis.

DESCRIBE HOUSING USED FOR RESCUES:

The majority of our foster homes maintain the rescues in the house with their other dogs. The fosters are crate trained, given basic obedience instruction, and learn to exist and cooperate in a 'pack' situation. We do have limited kennel facilities available.

Details about "PROCEDURES" responses:

Although we do not routinely accept owner surrenders, preferring to reserve our fosters for homeless Siberians, exceptions are made on an individual basis, often involving critical illness or a death in a family, loss of job or home, or similar crises. There is no age restriction, and dogs hit by cars, with broken pelvises/legs/jaws, shattered hips, injured by gunshot, tortured by being set on fire, cataract surgery have been cared for and placed.

Rescue's policy regarding SHELTER FEES:

We will pay legitimate/reasonable shelter fees if they cover services (vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm testing, etc). Fees without any services are evaluated individually.
