Breed Description:

OARS rescues most dog breeds with no bite history. We are not an open-admission shelter as we're privately funded and all dogs live in foster homes until adopted. We have up to 30 cats/ kittens at our Neenah adoption center. Any additional in our care are in private foster homes.

We've assisted heart worm positive dogs, dogs with special needs, and other treatable medical conditions. These are reviewed on a case by case basis as determined by foster home availability and OARS' resources.
DESCRIBE HOUSING USED FOR RESCUES:

OARS has a small network of foster homes for the dogs in our care. The dogs live in our volunteers' homes until adopted.
The adoptable cats live on site at our adoption center, and we depend on foster homes to care for pregnant or nursing moms, kittens, and those who are shy or ill.
