Breed Description:

Big Dogs Animal Rescue will accept any large breed dogs, mix or purebred - no breed discrimination... We also will accept small breed dogs and other animals as foster homes allow (cats, small critters, birds). If we do not have room, we will do our best to aid in finding a breed specific rescue organization that does.

We will not accept any bite cases in large breed dogs, it is simply too dangerous. We have taken in deaf/blind dogs, so special needs is ok also.

DESCRIBE HOUSING USED FOR RESCUES:

Rescue animals are housed in private foster homes, and live as part of the family until adopted. They are all taught basic obedience while in foster care.

Details about "PROCEDURES" responses:

All fosters are spayed/neutered, microchipped, UTD on all vaccinations, heartworm tested and on preventative, and Feline Leukemia tested (for the kitties) before placement. Home visits are required on ALL animals, and Big Dogs will take any animal back for any reason throughout the life of that animal.

Rescue's policy regarding SHELTER FEES:

Big Dogs handles situations on a case-by-case basis.
