| RESCUE:Green Acres Boxer Rescue of WI |
BREED: Boxer
Breed Description:
The Boxer is a medium-sized dog with a muscular build and a short, tight-fitting coat. Boxers may be fawn, brindle, or white (whites are excluded from the breed standard and although they are as healthy as their colored counterparts, they are more prone to deafness. White Boxers may not be shown in conformation and should not be bred.) Ears may be cropped or left natural. Tails are almost always docked. The most distinctive feature of the Boxer is the blocky head with "droopy jowls" and an undershot jaw. The chest is deep and the tummy is tucked up. The Boxer is an energetic, friendly dog, known for being good with children and for being an excellent watchdog.

Rescue's policy regarding SHELTER FEES:
When we pick up a dog from a shelter, we understand that the shelter has provided care for that dog (food, water, medications, etc.) Therefore, we do not have a problem with paying a fee. In those cases where the shelter does not ask for a fee, we generally try to make a small donation. If we are charged the same fee that the general public pays, we do expect that the dog will be spayed/neutered and fully vaccinated.
