The Bichon Frise has been bred as a companion dog and makes a great family dog for all ages. The breed is normally very friendly with people and other animals. The Bichon is a recommended breed for people with allergies. The breed does require daily grooming. The Bichon should range in size from 8 to 12 inches and can be trained in obedience and sports. The common health ailments with the breed are skin allergies and dislocation of the knees.
