Breed Description:

The (Old English) Mastiff is a giant breed of dog that resembles a St. Bernard in head and body and a Great Dane in coat and color. Mastiffs usually have short, dense coats, natural tail, drop ears and come in three colors: fawn (tan), apricot (red) and brindle (striped), all with a black mask and ears. Average weight range from 120-200+ pounds. Height can be from 27" at the shoulder and up. A Mastiff that has a longer coat or that is taller, shorter, lighter or heavier is not unusual.

Potential homes must have a fenced area for the dog. Our organization selects which dog in our program is most appropriate for our approved families.

We do pay shelter fees, but would prefer to have them (or a portion) waived.
