Breed Description:
The (Old English) Mastiff is a giant breed of dog that resembles a St. Bernard in head and body and a Great Dane in coat and color. Mastiffs usually have short, dense coats, natural tail, drop ears and come in three colors: fawn (tan), apricot (red) and brindle (striped), all with a black mask and ears. Average weight range from 120-200+ pounds. Height can be from 27" at the shoulder and up. A Mastiff that has a longer coat or that is taller, shorter, lighter or heavier is not unusual.
