Breed Description:
Eskies are a small to medium Nordic type dog, always white or white/cream. Erect triangle shaped ears, and distinctive black around the eye rims, nose, and lips. Tail is curled. Size varies from 9" to 19". This dog was bred to be a watch dog and will readily sound a warning bark to announce strangers; it is protective of its family although it does not threaten to attack or bite people.

DESCRIBE HOUSING USED FOR RESCUES:
Dogs are fostered in a private home until placed. If behavior modification is needed, it is done before the dog is placed. Dogs taken into WAER may not be dog-dog aggressive.

Rescue's policy regarding SHELTER FEES:
We do whatever is the shelter's policy. If a dog needs a lot of medical attention (spay / neuter, shots, heartworm, dental etc) we appreciate it very much if the adoption fee can be waived.
